Sign a PDF without printing it. Draw your signature with a finger, mouse or pen, or upload a picture of it, then place it exactly where it belongs on the page and add the date if you like. This adds a picture of your signature; it is not a certificate-based digital signature, and for most forms, leases and permission slips that is exactly what is needed.
How it works
- Drop in the PDF and draw your signature, or upload a PNG of it.
- Choose the page, drag the signature into position and set its size.
- Click Sign and download.
Questions about sign pdf
- Is this a legally valid electronic signature?
- In many places a drawn or typed signature on a document is valid for everyday agreements, but the rules depend on where you are and what the document is. For anything that requires a certificate-based digital signature, this tool is not the right one.
- Can I save my signature for next time?
- Not yet, on purpose: the site stores nothing. Keep a PNG of your signature on your device and upload it when you need it.
- Why does a PNG work best for uploads?
- A PNG can have a transparent background, so only the ink shows. A JPG keeps its white rectangle.
