MB to GB

Convert megabytes to gigabytes. In decimal units 1,000 MB is 1 GB; in the binary units operating systems often use, 1,024 MiB is 1 GiB. This converter shows both, which explains why a file size can look different in two places.

How it works

1. Type the size in megabytes.
2. Read it in gigabytes, gibibytes and the other units.
